The New Year is coming and we hope you enjoy your holidays and be safe traveling around. For those of us who will be sitting at home enjoying ourselves with peace and quiet. Over the next couple of days I really would like to get in a bit of reading. It is also the time of year to think about setting your reading goals if that is what you are into. Goodreads has a handle little tool you can use to keep track of your reading and the challenge you set for yourself. I usually set my at 100 books each year. Some years I get them all done and more but last year I didn’t make it as I was researching and writing my own books. I would much rather read a good story but am having a fairly nice time figuring out this process. More on that later.

Not only can you get books and eBooks from your local library you can get them from other resources as well. If you like eBooks you can sign-up for online services with Kindle, Overdrive or some other monthly subscription services. You can even sign up for services to get audio books directly from Audible as well as from Amazon. These are paid services and some even offer free books on occasion if you would be willing to keep looking. Once you read or listen to a book we hope you will take a few minutes to type in an honest review on Goodreads. Every hard-working writer out there deeply appreciates any of there readers taking the time to write out a paragraph or two about their work. Maybe, that could be a goal for the coming year as well.
We have some great inexpensive eBooks as well. Not as many as we would like but maybe a different variety than what you are use to seeing on your library bookshelves or even Amazon. Every one of them is in PDF format and zipped to save space on our servers. Some of them might event even include a text file of the story. There are free services around the internet that you can sign up for but my favorite has to be OPEN LIBRARY. You sign-up for free and are able to download and read copies of scanned in books but must use the Adobe Digital Reader software. You can download 5 books and have 14 days to read them. Then please write up a review when you complete each one.
