When I see pastel colors I immediately think of Easter. The new easter clothes in light colors, the Easter baskets and the wide variety of jelly beans only available during this time of year. The holiday falls on April 1st this year and that just brings up all kinds of weird things that might happen as that is April Fool’s Day too. I think, for this year at least, all those practical jokers out there can take the year off.
This year we won’t have to feel guilty about not attending the sunrise services at the beach again because we are too far away from our normal haunts. But it would be nice to be able to buy a new Easter dress, wide brim white hat, and sandals to wear somewhere nice for dinner. We no longer have little ones to prepare Easter baskets for, dye boiled eggs and hide them in the backyard. The price of eggs right now in our area is very reasonable so I bought them anyway and decided to make a couple of quiches instead.
